American Express Membership Rewards and All-Business Class carrier Eos have teamed up for a promotion that yields an ample 50,000 frequent flyer miles per round-trip flight for bookings made on unrestricted Business Class fares (J class). Flights booked on discounted Business Class fares (codes C and Z) earn 25,000 points per round-trip. The offer is valid only for US Cardmembers enrolled in Amex Membership Rewards, and flights must be booked by March 31, 2008, for travel completed by April 30, 2008.

The big blocks of miles are great, but the highlight of this promotion is that Amex’s Membership Rewards program offers the flexibility of booking with 16 different partner airlines, giving a wide range of possibilities for free First Class domestic award travel. For instance, 45,000 miles will give you a First Class round-trip within the US on Continental, while 50K grabs a free round-trip on Delta Air Lines First Class within the US and Canada. 25,000 miles will score a free economy seat on either airline.

Since its inception, Eos has been a First Class Flyer favorite, earning a place in our top category as an Elite Service Carrier (ESC). Their mileage program, though, is too limited to be much of a draw. This collaboration with Amex changes all that, and we’d love to see this frequent flyer program offered more ... frequently. Or better yet, permanently!

To sum up: An unrestricted ticket from New York to London on Eos can earn Amex cardholders a free domestic First Class seats on several popular carriers, and a discount Business Class ticket gets a free coach seat. Sure, we’d call that a membership reward.
