With over 400,000 AmExp miles, one would think that we could upgrade to and back from Buenos Aires next Feb/March; however, the upgradable seats on the only carrier flying there directly from New York, American Airlines, were unavailable six months ago, and remain so today. The only solution seems to keep calling, over and over and over, to see if additional upgradable seats have been released. Is there a better way? We can get the 2-for-1 business class deal on Continental, but the 1 costs about $6,000.

Any suggestions for travel strategy for upcoming trip to Anchorage for Christmas this year from RDU? For two passengers. Only have some Delta Skymiles, but am considering taking advantage of some other CC offers for miles. Do have Cap One Miles. Thanks
