To celebrate the 15th anniversary of its loyalty program, Executive Club, British Airways is offering members a 15,000-mile discount on any round-trip reward flight from the US, Canada, or Bermuda. The offer permits British Airways Business and First Class travel—seldom included in these types of promotions.

Time is of the essence, however: flights must be booked by Nov. 19, 2007, for travel between Nov. 9, 2007 and March 31, 2008. The offer applies only to new bookings made at BA.com.

Billed as an "anniversary gift," the discounted British Airways Business and First Class seats should be well-received as the promotion applies to any destination.

Those booking economy class to London will save a substantial 30% from the usual 50,000 mile cost. Discounted rates in Premium Economy, Business Class, and First Class are 60,000, 85,000, and 135,000 miles, respectively. (Remember: Lower mileage levels can be found on partner Cathay Pacific’s award chart.

The bad news: British Airways discount Business and First Class travel does not apply to upgrades.

"anniversary gift," I cannot find this offer anywhere on BA Executive Club web site. A search on this site for "anniversary gift," returned nothing relevant. In a phone call to BA Exec. Club the agent could find nothing like this, and was of no help. How do I use part of my 92,000 miles for a business class seat, at the 85,000 miles rate mentioned in your report? Perry

I just checked and if you book on line the discount is applied. I did a Montreal to London economy and it was jsut 35000 points.
